Welcome to Hand of Man Studio!
Founded by award winning glass artist Jeremiah "Maya" Kern, Hand of Man Studio is a borosilicate flameworking studio in Denver, Colorado. We moved into our current location in February of 2009, and currently rent bench space to other flameworkers, and run a basic introductory three month intensive apprenticeship program. This year we are adding on to our shop and are very excited about our new ventures into raw art glass production. We now have glass available for purchase at D&L, and it is also available for purchase through the studio. Also available right here online. Check out the Glass Supplies Sales page for more information and prices.
About the Artist
Jeremiah got his beginning in glass in 2004 in North Boulder as a glass distributor for local artists. In the summer of 2005, Jeremiah took an apprenticeship from the artist whose art he'd been distributing. Since that time, Jeremiah's love of glass has expanded exponentially, and his desire to further his glass career has been a success so far, with no end in sight. In the 9 years he has been working borosilicate glass, he has had the opportunity to work with multiple accomplished glass artists, travel to glass events and competed in flame-offs nationwide, and advance himself as a student of glass. Watch his interview on Hello Glass (and check out other glass artists around the country!) by clicking here. He will never consider himself a master, as there is always a new lesson to be learned from the glass. Jeremiah has won multiple flame offs and recently had the opportunity to work at the CMOG studio in Corning as a TA.
